In April 2019, I heard the Russian song “Partisan” by Basta for the first time. 
Partisan... who is that? I thought.
Plunging myself into research, I became incredibly interested in learning more about these unrecognized - and mostly unknown - heroes who have been lost in history. In my research, I discovered a widely-known but unattributed poem of the Soviet partisan. Struck by grief for the fallen and anger over the injustice for the living, I made a promise to myself to tell this partisan’s story and help educate people over the heroics of World War II partisans. 

Two years later, what once was just an idea is finally a real short film! 
I am blessed and thankful for all who lent their skills and helped make this film a reality! I present this film with the utmost pride for my teammates work, for my Russian heritage and culture, and for the story this film tells.
